Developing the Creative Industry Fashion Hero Brand Project Supports Thai Craft SMEs Entering the International Fashion Market

The Fashion Hero Brand project focuses on promoting and developing Thai craft entrepreneurs to upgrade into professional fashion brands, preparing them for the global market. It integrates local crafts such as handwoven fabrics, silk, cotton, leather goods, ceramics, and basketry into modern fashion products that highlight distinct Thai identities.

Participants receive training and coaching in brand identity creation, deep storytelling that reflects Thai culture, product design tailored to market needs, and marketing strategies to boost sales. The program also fosters networking with local artisans nationwide for knowledge exchange and collaborative development.

Notable product examples include:

  • Handwoven cotton clothing from Northern Thailand that blends traditional patterns with contemporary designs, appealing to young people and international markets.
  • Handcrafted leather bags and goods from Southern Thailand using natural tanning techniques and meticulous hand stitching.
  • Modern-style ceramic and basketry accessories from Northeastern Thailand that retain unique Thai characteristics.
  • Antique-patterned silk transformed into scarves and shawls suitable for luxury fashion markets.

The project aims to create 25 Thai craft fashion brands to represent Thailand's soft power globally, expected to generate over 100 million baht in economic value. This initiative opens new opportunities for SMEs in the Thai craft sector to grow sustainably while preserving and advancing local wisdom.
