Moving Boldly into the Future! Thailand Accelerates Building ‘Tech Language Skills’ Empowering Youth to Thrive in the Digital World

In an era where “Coding-AI-Digital” is the new global language, NECTEC, part of the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), partners with the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration and the Institute for the Promotion of Teaching Science and Technology (IPST) to launch the “Third Language Schools” initiative. It aims to ignite the potential of Thai youth as innovators 4.0 through learning the “language of technology”—the secret weapon of the 21st century.


Project Highlights

✅ Cutting-Edge STEM Curriculum: Integrates coding, AI, and digital tools across all grades from Grade 1 to 12

✅ Maker Space Classrooms: 20 pilot schools across Bangkok equipped with age-appropriate learning kits

✅ New Breed of IT Coaches: Training 60 lead teachers to master “hands-on teaching” skills


Additional programs include

  • digital Innovation Maker Space design contests at the school level,
  • digital innovation competitions featuring 60 students and 40 mentor teachers, and
  • popular STEM workshops involving circuits, robotics assembly, and innovation design.

Thailand prioritizes education, preparing its young generation with skills and critical thinking balanced by creativity. The future of Thailand starts today; the seeds of innovation being planted will grow into sustainable engines for the 4.0 society.
