Mental Health Check In via QR Code

Mental Health Check In via QR Code

Many people face inevitable health issues, both physically and mentally, including emotional distress. If left untreated, these problems may significantly affect their lives, and some people might hesitate to consult with a professional.

In response, the Department of Mental Health has developed an application to self-assess mental health through the QR code for Mental Health Check In (MHCI). This application allows for initial mental health assessments and screens for potential mental health issues, letting users understand and identify signs of mental health risks, especially as public mental health situations tend to become increasingly stressful.

The usage is straightforward: simply scan the QR code for Mental Health Check In or type https://checkin.dmh.go.th into the URL bar and press Enter. This will lead you to the main page of Mental Health Check In, where you can enter personal information and conduct a self-assessment.

The assessment includes four parts, known as SBSD:

  • S: Stress
  • B: Burnout
  • S: Suicide Risk
  • D: Depression

Upon completing the assessment for each section, users will immediately receive results, along with suggestions on how to cope if they are at risk. The application also provides a platform to seek online consultations from experts. Furthermore, it provides an overview of the mental health risks in different areas across the country.

For those who are potentially at risk of developing mental health issues, they can self-assess their mental state using the MHCI and consult with their nearby public health service center or call the 24-hour mental health hotline at 1323.
