Thailand Showcases Youth Talent in Diplomacy as UN Association and Rangsit University Host National Final

The United Nations Association of Thailand, in partnership with Rangsit University’s Faculty of Diplomacy and International Studies, hosted the national final round of the 2025 academic competition on diplomacy, foreign affairs, and the United Nations. The event took place today at the university’s auditorium, attended by distinguished guests from multiple agencies, including the Public Relations Department. The opening ceremony was presided over by the association’s vice president, together with the dean of the host faculty.

The final round featured an impromptu speech competition testing participants’ analytical thinking, communication skills, and ability to respond under pressure. The programme also included a “UN Superfan” contest designed to identify students with deep, specialised knowledge of the United Nations.

A special keynote was delivered by the Director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ Division of International Organisations Services, who shared insights on the UN system, Thailand’s role in global diplomacy, and pathways for young people to understand international affairs.

The initiative aims to strengthen youth awareness of the United Nations and Thailand’s global engagement, while promoting the mission of the UN Association of Thailand among aspiring young diplomats. The atmosphere throughout the event reflected the passion, energy, and growing potential of the next generation preparing to step onto the international stage
