Thailand Courts French Investment in Aerospace, Clean Energy, AI and Quantum Technology

Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul met with Vice Chairman of the French Employers’ Association International (MEDEF International) and Chairman of the France–Thailand Business Council, together with French Ambassador and representatives from 16 leading French companies across five strategic sectors: aerospace and defense, engineering and consulting, construction and transport, digital technology, and energy management.

The discussions followed the Prime Minister’s recent visit to Paris and focused on attracting new investment into Thailand’s future industries, including aerospace, clean energy, digital technology, artificial intelligence, and quantum computing. The government views these sectors as key drivers of quality employment, higher incomes, workforce development, and long-term economic competitiveness.

Prime Minister Anutin emphasized Thailand’s transition toward an innovation-driven economy based on advanced technology and high-value industries, areas that closely align with French expertise. He noted that stronger cooperation would bring investment, technology transfer, and valuable know-how to Thailand.

French companies expressed confidence in Thailand’s economic potential and interest in expanding investments in aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) facilities, sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) production, clean energy systems, and advanced digital technologies. Beyond capital investment, they pledged support for technology transfer and workforce development.

The Prime Minister reaffirmed the government’s commitment to improving the investment climate, advancing the Thailand–EU Free Trade Agreement, and pursuing OECD membership.
