Thailand and UAE Strengthen Energy Cooperation for Future Investment and Energy Security

Thailand’s Ministry of Energy has reinforced its partnership with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) through discussions aimed at expanding bilateral energy
cooperation and promoting long-term investment opportunities. Senior officials from both countries met to discuss concrete measures to deepen collaboration in the energy sector.

The discussion highlighted the close relationship between the two nations,
particularly in oil trade and petroleum exploration. A leading energy company from the UAE expressed interest in investing in Thailand’s oil reserve facilities and exploring opportunities in other strategic energy projects. Both sides also exchanged views on next-generation energy infrastructure, including data centers that support energy management systems and growing demand driven by artificial intelligence technologies.

Thailand also emphasized its openness to foreign investment in petroleum
exploration, crude oil storage development, and strategic petroleum reserve
initiatives. The cooperation aligns with Thailand’s broader infrastructure
development plans aimed at strengthening regional connectivity, enhancing
energy resilience, and ensuring long-term energy security amid global geopolitical and energy market uncertainties.
