Thailand and China Strengthen Food Trade Ties at 2025 CIIE Gala in Shanghai

During the 8th China International Import Expo in Shanghai, Thailand’s Ministry of Commerce hosted the “Harmony in Business: 2025 CIIE Thailand-China Synergy Gala Dinner” to promote trade and investment cooperation between the two countries, especially in the food sector.

More than 50 Thai enterprises engaged in business matching with major Chinese retailers, importers, and distributors, reinforcing collaboration across production and distribution chains. The event also marked the 50th anniversary of Thailand-China diplomatic relations, reflecting the deep and enduring “family-like” ties between the two nations.

As Guest of Honour at this year’s Expo, Thailand showcased a 640-square-meter Agri-Food Pavilion featuring 60 high-quality Thai food companies. Their displays highlighted innovation and sustainability, such as green processing and eco-friendly production, aligning with China’s growing demand for healthy food.

The gala drew key industry leaders and influencers, strengthening the visibility of Thai brands and setting a new benchmark for Thailand-China cooperation. The event symbolized not only a celebration of half a century of friendship but also a shared vision to build a future of mutual trust, innovation, and sustainable growth.
