Statement by the Deputy Government Spokesperson to Firmly Rejects the Use of Biological Weapons by Thailand and Urge Everyone to Carefully Verify Information before Sharing It

When fake news spreads faster than facts, the truth must speak louder.

The Thai government firmly rejects recent claims that Thailand has used biological weapons near the Cambodian border. These claims, spread by an unverified Facebook page, are entirely false and appear designed to provoke confusion and distrust.

Thailand has never produced, possessed, or used any prohibited weapons. We remain fully committed to international law, including the Chemical Weapons Convention and all relevant global agreements.

The recent incident along the border was not a war—it was a limited defensive action to protect our national security. During this incident, the Royal Thai Armed Forces have acted with discipline, professionalism, and respect for international norms.

In today’s world, the use of such weapons cannot go undetected. If they had been used, the international community would have taken notice.

We urge everyone and members of the media to carefully verify information before sharing it. 

Let us stand together for facts—and for peaceful relations between our two nations.
