SME D Bank Offers Financial Relief to Flood-Affected SMEs

SME D Bank has introduced emergency financial relief for small and medium-sized businesses affected by flooding in Nan province, including suspension of principal and interest payments for up to 12 months and financing to help businesses recover.

Deputy Government Spokesperson Ploytalay Laksameesangchan reported on August 20 that the assistance follows instructions from Prime Minister and Interior Minister Anutin Charnvirakul. Eligible existing customers in designated disaster areas may suspend principal and interest payments on term loans for up to 12 months, while repayment periods for certain promissory note and factoring facilities may be extended by up to 180 days.

Businesses directly affected by the flooding may also apply for emergency financing ranging from 30,000 to 200,000 baht. Individual borrowers can receive up to 100,000 baht, and juristic persons up to 200,000 baht, with a three-year repayment term, no collateral requirement, and a principal grace period of up to 12 months.

Additional recovery financing is available at a fixed interest rate of 3% annually for the first three years, with repayment periods of up to 10 years. Participation is voluntary, and businesses can apply through SME D Bank branches nationwide, its LINE Official Account, website, or by contacting Call Center 1357 for more information.
