NSTDA Joins China-BRICS SIIP Network to Drive Thai Deep-Tech Innovation onto the Global Stage

The National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA) has officially joined the China-BRICS Strategic Innovation Incubation Platform (SIIP) network, aiming to strengthen innovation cooperation among BRICS countries and
create new opportunities for Thai deep-tech startups to expand into international markets. The initiative reflects Thailand’s strategy to promote a research-driven economy by connecting local innovators with global investment networks, advanced technologies, and international business partners.

During the China-BRICS SIIP Achievement Exhibition and the BRICS Cross-border Accelerator Program, NSTDA highlighted Thailand’s role as a “Research Engine” that can transform scientific research into economic growth and industrial competitiveness. Through this collaboration, Thai startups and researchers will gain greater access to innovation ecosystems in China and other BRICS member countries, including funding opportunities, technology transfer,
and international commercialization channels.

The partnership also reinforces broader BRICS cooperation in science, technology, and innovation, particularly in areas such as advanced industries, digital technology, entrepreneurship, and sustainable economic development. NSTDA believes the collaboration will help position Thailand as an important innovation hub in the region while encouraging stronger international research partnerships and accelerating the growth of high-value technology industries in the future.
