NECTEC Delivers “MagikFresh” Clean Air Park Prototype to Lamphun to Combat PM2.5 Pollution

Thailand’s National Electronics and Computer Technology Center under the National Science and Technology Development Agency has successfully delivered the “MagikFresh” clean air recreation park prototype to Lamphun Municipality, marking a significant step in tackling PM2.5 pollution at the community level. The handover took place on April 2, 2026, aiming to enhance urban livability and public health.

The MagikFresh project integrates advanced electrostatic air filtration systems capable of generating up to 15,000 cubic meters of clean air per hour per unit, with four units installed within the park. Designed as part of a smart and livable city initiative, the system helps reduce airborne particulate matter, allowing residents to safely engage in outdoor recreational activities even during periods of high pollution.

Beyond the installation, NECTEC is also expanding its research into air purification and pathogen removal systems for indoor environments. The initiative invites schools, hospitals, and public care centers in northern Thailand to participate, providing them with air filtration equipment to further mitigate health risks associated with air pollution and airborne diseases.
