MOC Boosts Economy and SMEs with “ชิม, ช็อป, เชียร์” During SEA Games

The Ministry of Commerce (MOC), in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, organized the “Taste, Shop, Cheer by MOC @ Chonburi” “ชิม, ช็อป, เชียร์” event at Pattaya Central Beach, Chonburi. The initiative aimed to promote products from eight eastern provinces during the 33rd SEA Games, supporting SMEs, stimulating the local economy, and expanding international trade
opportunities amid a surge of Thai and foreign visitors.

The event featured 40 booths offering food, beverages, souvenirs, and apparel, including products from border provinces adjacent to Cambodia. The response was highly positive, with strong tourist interest and rapid sales growth, as many vendors needed frequent restocking. Within the first three days, total sales exceeded one million baht, reflecting strong market demand and the effectiveness
of the initiative.

The activities were part of a broader government “Quick Big Win” policy to strengthen SMEs and mitigate the economic impact on border areas. In addition to the marketplace, the venue hosted a SEA Games fan zone, sponsor exhibitions, and the Pattaya International Jazz Festival 2025, creating a vibrant atmosphere. The public, athletes, and sports fans were invited to enjoy quality local products before cheering for Thai athletes, with events continuing at the national stadium through December 20, 2025.
