Thailand is accelerating the development of a centralized medical data infrastructure through the Medical AI Data Platform—a system designed to develop and deliver health AI services in a secure, organized, and ready-to-use manner. The platform emphasizes accuracy, transparency, and compliance with government cloud standards.
The platform is divided into three main components:
Currently, the platform holds over 2.2 million medical images covering eight major disease categories, including breast cancer, stroke, and eye diseases. Prototype models are already helping deliver faster and more accurate diagnoses. This marks a significant milestone for Thailand in leveraging AI to advance healthcare and establish a more accessible and sustainable public health system.
