A Sarawak Media Group (SMG) delegation from Malaysia led by Chairwoman Dato' Norhyati Mohd Ismail visited the International Broadcasting Centre (IBC) for the 33rd SEA Games at the National Broadcasting Serices of Thailand (NBT) in Bangkok today (9 December 2025). The operational visit was part of early preparations for Sarawak's hosting of the 2027 SEA Games in Malaysia.
IBC Manager Col. Chuchat Pimprasert briefed the delegation on international sports broadcasting management models, detailing operations across 31 competition venues and the coordination of coverage among 13 international broadcasters.
The Malaysian delegation also examined operational needs for TV Sarawak (TVS), the official broadcaster under SMG, ensuring that broadcasting capabilities, live coverage, and technical infrastructure align with regional standards for the 2027 SEA Games.
The visit showcased Thailand's internationally recognized broadcasting capabilities, providing Malaysia with valuable insights to ensure broadcast excellence for the 2027 SEA Games and strengthening bilateral cooperation in sports media.
