Digital Ministry Advances ONE ID Citizen Data System for Lifelong Welfare Support

The Ministry of Digital Economy and Society (MDES) is accelerating the development of the ONE ID system, a unified digital platform that connects government databases to enhance lifelong welfare services for Thai citizens.

Deputy Minister of Digital Economy and Society Nan Boontida Somchai stated that the ministry has instructed its agencies to advance the ONE ID policy and integrate data across all government departments. She also noted that the ONE ID initiative aligns with directives from Digital Economy and Society Minister Chaichanok Chidchob to modernize public services and enhance the quality of life through digital transformation.

Under this policy, the National Statistical Office will lead the design of data structures and the systematic management of national statistics. This data will help government agencies develop targeted welfare policies and enhance public service delivery. The office is also developing the Learn to Earn platform, which combines digital skills training with income opportunities. This program supports lifelong learning and helps citizens apply digital skills in practical settings.
