Chulalongkorn University, through its Environmental Research Institute for
Sustainability, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the
National University of Singapore (NUS) to strengthen academic collaboration
and drive joint research on environmental and natural resource management.
The partnership aims to enhance scientific and technological knowledge sharing
while promoting sustainable development and innovation across regional and
global levels.
The two institutions plan to launch joint research projects focusing on key
environmental challenges, including sustainable resource management,
ecosystem preservation, and climate change adaptation. The collaboration will
also emphasize capacity building through academic exchanges, workshops, and
training programs to nurture the next generation of environmental researchers
and professionals in both countries.
This partnership underscores Chulalongkorn University’s growing leadership in
environmental research and innovation. By combining expertise with a globally
recognized university like NUS, Chulalongkorn aims to create impactful
research outcomes that contribute to environmental protection, social
well-being, and sustainable living—aligning with the global Sustainable
Development Goals (SDGs).
