The Department of Cultural Promotion, Ministry of Culture, is organizing “CHUD THAI: Knowledge, Craftsmanship and Practices of the Thai National Costume” on 10–11 October 2026 at Le Meurice Hotel in Paris, France.

This event marks an important milestone in promoting and preserving Thai cultural heritage, reflecting a vision to bring the knowledge and craftsmanship of Chud Thai to the global stage.

At the exclusive showcase on 10 October, Her Royal Highness Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya of Thailand will graciously preside as keynote speaker, sharing knowledge on the Royal Thai Costume and delivering a lecture on “The Evolution of Thai Costume and Textiles.”

The programme will feature runway presentations of a collection of eight styles of Royal Thai National Costume, alongside three forms of royal-bestowed attire for men. This body of knowledge and cultural heritage is currently being prepared for submission to UNESCO for consideration for inscription on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in December 2026.
