Bangkok and Several Provinces Warned of Heavy to Very Heavy Rain during 5-6 Oct

The Thai Meteorological Department (TMD) continues to warn of heavy to very heavy rain in several regions of Thailand, with October 5 and 6 identified as critical periods for monitoring.

The fourth weather advisory, issued at 5:00 a.m., forecasts very heavy rain on October 5 in Kamphaeng Phet, Phitsanulok, Phichit, Phetchabun, Nakhon Sawan, Uthai Thani, Chai Nat, Sing Buri, Ang Thong, and Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya.

Very heavy rain is forecast for Kanchanaburi and Ratchaburi on October 6. Bangkok and nearby provinces are also expected to experience heavy rain on both October 5 and 6.

Provinces not specifically listed may still experience thunderstorms, though they are not currently forecast to receive heavy or very heavy rainfall under this advisory.

Residents should check weather forecasts before traveling and monitor rainfall conditions throughout the day. Those in low-lying areas, near waterways, or along foothills should remain especially alert during periods of persistent or heavy rainfall due to the risk of flash floods, runoff, and localized flooding.

The TMD will continue to monitor weather conditions and provide updates as needed.
