Acting Prime Minister Phumtham Wechayachai visited an evacuation center in Trat province today to support citizens displaced by the border conflict and deliver official aid.
Phumtham, who is also Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister, met with approximately 1,000 evacuees from Bo Rai District. During his visit, he shared a meal with the displaced citizens, which include children, the elderly, and persons with disabilities, to boost their morale. He also distributed essential consumer goods to village representatives for initial relief.
Phumtham issued a policy directive to all military and local government officials on site, instructing them to provide the fullest possible care for the evacuees. He emphasized the need for close monitoring and support to assure the public that the government will stand by them throughout the crisis.
