Legal entities that hold rights in certificate-based bonds and wish to change the name on these bonds can have an authorized person apply for a register record/change of register record (new legal entity name) by attaching the following supporting documents:
- Certificate of incorporation issued by the Ministry of Commerce, not older than 1 month, or documents proving legal entity status issued by government agencies. (If submitting documents by mail, send a certified copy by an authorized person as per the terms provided by the Bank of Thailand.)
- National ID card (If submitting documents by mail, send a certified copy by the cardholder.)
- Government officer ID card or state organization employee ID card (If submitting documents by mail, send a certified copy by the cardholder.)
- Passport or equivalent immigration document for foreigners (If submitting documents by mail, send a certified copy by the passport holder.)
- Application for register record/change of register record.
- The bond certificate.
- Sample signature letter of the authorized signatory for debt securities management.
The process of changing the name on the bond for a legal entity typically takes around 50 minutes. This depends on various factors such as the completeness and accuracy of the documents, the reviewer's decision, and the time taken to rectify the request. Once all procedures are completed, the outcome will be immediately communicated to the applicant at the office. In cases where applications are submitted by mail, the result will be communicated within 7 days from the completion of review. The fee for changing the name on the bond is 100 baht per bond.
