Global Sustainable Tourism Criteria, for the purpose of sustainability management and tourism responsibility management

The Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC) criteria have been developed and revised to comply with the ISEAL Alliance standard-setting code of conduct. It is a recognized body that provides advice on international standards in the development of sustainability standards in all sectors. The criteria for sustainable tourism have been adapted in Thailand in order to develop the Thai tourism industry with proper standards that will encourage sustainability. One is about sustainability management, which includes a management framework and structure for managing tourism responsibilities.

Tourist attractions must have effective agencies, departments, groups, or committees in charge of coordinating sustainable tourism with public, private, and public sector participation. There must be documented evidence of the assigned body's establishment or structure, as well as its authority to act on economic, socio-cultural, and environmental issues. At the same time, tourist attraction management must receive adequate funding and be able to collaborate with a variety of agencies. The financial plan and budget must be current and future-proof. Furthermore, this group must have enough personnel to function, which may necessitate the inclusion of people with experience in sustainability and the operation of contracts in accordance with sustainability principles.
