Thai Soft Power Makes a Splash! "Thainess Power" Attracts Over 16,000 Visitors at Expo 2025 Osaka

Thailand's Government Public Relations Department (PRD) invites the public—both Thais and foreigners—to experience the charm of Thai culture through the "Thainess Power" exhibition at Expo 2025 Osaka, held in Osaka, Japan, from 1-16 September 2025. This world-class event brings together technology, innovation, and culture from over 150 countries for a close-up experience of global creativity.

The exhibition has drawn huge interest since the first day of the event, with over 16,000 visitors so far. Highlights include:

- A Touch of Thainess Giveaway – a fun fortune-drawing activity with souvenir prizes;
- The Power of Thailand – a video presentation showcasing Thai soft power;
- AI Photo Booth – visitors can wear traditional Thai outfits virtually using AI technology. This feature has gone viral on social media and continues to attract steady crowds.

The PRD is also taking this opportunity to introduce audiences to the PRD's news and information platforms, including the Thailand website (www.thailand.go.th), the PRD website application, and NBT WORLD.

On this occasion, Ms. Sudruetai Lertkasem, PRD Director-General, led her delegation to visit various international pavilions and hold high-level discussions.

At the Japan Pavilion, she met with Norihiko Takubo, Deputy Director-General of the Japan Pavilion, to discuss tourism collaboration and viewed the exhibition under the concept "Designing Future Society for Our Lives," featuring highlights such as a green-themed Hello Kitty symbolizing sustainability.

The delegation also visited the China Pavilion, where they met with Zhou Guangyao, Deputy Director of the China Pavilion, to discuss trade and tourism cooperation. The pavilion's design was inspired by a Chinese scroll, telling stories from the past, present, and future. One of the highlights was the display of "moon soil" collected from the Chang'E-5 and Chang'E-6 lunar missions.

At the Kuwait Pavilion, the PRD Director-General held discussions with Haya Alfouzan, Deputy Director of the Kuwait Pavilion, on promoting trade and investment. The exhibition, under the concept "Visionary Lighthouse," showcased the beauty of nature and culture through an immersive experience spanning from the past to the future.

The PRD Director-General also extended invitations to senior officials from the three countries to visit Thailand again. They all expressed their admiration, especially for Phuket Province, a top travel destination, and affirmed their intention to return.
