Introducing the STEAM4INNOVATOR Center, a cutting-edge vocational innovation hub transforming Thai classrooms into “innovation playgrounds” to nurture the next generation of creators in ASEAN! This center is a collaboration between the National Innovation Agency (NIA) and the Private Vocational Education Association, aiming to elevate 340,000 vocational students and 20,000 teachers nationwide within three years. The goal: to equip them with creative skills integrating STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) that can be turned into real-world innovative businesses.
Dive into the “STEAM4INNOVATOR” curriculum. it’s more than theory! It’s a hands-on approach that trains students to think like innovators, from idea generation and project design to building business models. Entrepreneurial skills are woven throughout, using an experiential learning process that encourages play, trial and error, and practical application, inspired by leading education models from Finland and Sweden.
Currently, five pilot colleges across Thailand, including Panyapiwat Institute of Management (Nonthaburi) and E-Tech (Chonburi), are transforming classrooms into “innovation centers.” Students work on real-world projects like smart agriculture, autonomous robotics, and next-gen service businesses.
The big picture: to build a Thai education system that serves as a “platform for innovators,” expanding partnerships with the business sector and positioning Thailand as the “ASEAN Innovation Hub.” Vocational professionals won’t just solve national challenges — they’ll seize global market opportunities!
