TAT Hosts Chinese MICE Delegation to Boost High-Value Tourism

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has hosted a delegation of 15 top Chinese tour operators specializing in MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions, and Exhibitions) and incentive travel to promote Thailand as a preferred destination for high-value tourism. TAT executives, led by Deputy Governor Pattaraanong Na Chiangmai, welcomed the group at the agency’s headquarters on October 29.

During the visit, TAT introduced a range of tourism products and services tailored for the MICE and incentive segments. Among the featured experiences was the Vijit Chao Phraya Light Festival, held during the Loy Krathong period, which offers an immersive atmosphere ideal for group travel programs seeking distinct and memorable activities.

TAT also encouraged expanding travel beyond major hubs by introducing routes to secondary destinations. These emerging areas allow travelers to experience Thailand’s cultural diversity and local charm, while supporting tourism development in less-visited provinces through traditional arts, cuisine, and community-based attractions.

The Chinese delegation expressed strong interest in exploring new opportunities for collaboration, including the development of joint programs that extend beyond conventional city itineraries. Delegates supported the direction of promoting regional travel connectivity and expressed enthusiasm about the potential for broader travel experiences within Thailand.

TAT reaffirmed its support for future cooperation and expressed confidence that the familiarization trip would help deepen business connections.
