The 2nd Army Area Operations Center Situation Summary along the Thai–Cambodian Border, 7 December 2025 (23.00 hours)

Cambodian troops have raised their combat readiness to the highest level following the clash at Phlan Hin Paet Kon area. They are also maintaining full readiness along the entire border, constructing additional cover positions, strengthening defensive posts, conducting explosive searches within their areas of responsibility, transporting explosives to secure shelters, turn off mobile phones, and preparing for senior commanders who will take charge of combat operations. In addition, they are closely monitoring Thai activities, especially tank movement, drone usage, and road construction near the frontline.

         Current Situation

 • Opposite Chong Sai Taku, Ban Kruat District, Buriram Province:

Cambodian soldiers stationed at Jub Koki Kang Village were ordered to transport explosives to be stored in protective shelters.

 • Opposite Phanom Dong Rak District, Surin Province:

Cambodian troops stationed at Prasat Ta Muen Thom claimed they successfully shot down one Thai drone.

 • Opposite Kantharalak District, Si Sa Ket Province:

Cambodian forces issued orders prohibiting all frontline personnel from accessing the internet and forbidding them from taking photos during operations for posting on any platform. They also instructed subordinate units that, starting today, frontline personnel must clean weapons, shelters, and base areas, as higher command will begin conducting combat readiness inspections.

 • Opposite Chong Bok, Nam Yuen District, Ubon Ratchathani Province:

Cambodian commanders ordered troops who are currently away from their base to return between 9–10 December 2025. If Cambodian forces deploy BM-21 rocket launchers, they will first be used the area of Chom Krasaen District, Preah Vihear Province.
