Thailand officially welcomed the Commander of the Japanese Ground Self-Defense Force,
marking a significant upgrade in security cooperation. Especially notable is the Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HA/DR) mission, where Thailand is transitioning from an observer role to becoming the “lead training partner” in the Nankai Rescue exercise with Japan.
This partnership highlights the deep trust and close collaboration between the two countries within the ADMM-Plus framework and underscores Thailand’s capability as a regional leader in humanitarian assistance across the Asia-Pacific.
At the same time, Japan continues to support the development of Thai military personnel
at all levels, laying a strong foundation for lasting friendship between the armies of both nations. This cooperation is expected to promote long-term peace, stability, and security throughout the region.
