The Sports Authority of Thailand (SAT) officially opened the Green Pavilion exhibition at the ASEAN Para Games 2025. Mr. Anupong Suksomnit, Governor of Nakhon Ratchasima Province, presided over the ceremony, joined by Mr. Preecha Lalun, SAT Deputy Governor for Elite Sports and Sports Science; Mr. Yutthaya Jeenheet, Director of the Elite Sports Development Department; senior SAT executives; and provincial representatives. The event was held at Thao Suranari Monument (Ya Mo Plaza) in Nakhon Ratchasima Province on 18 January 2026.
The Green Pavilion exhibition, themed “Play Forward – Playing Sports While Caring for the Planet,” presents a progressive vision for Thai sports. It emphasizes sustainability, environmental responsibility, and quality of life in the context of international sporting events.
As host of the 13th ASEAN Para Games, Thailand has upgraded competition and training venues in line with the principle of “Universal Design – For All.” Improvements include ramps, accessible restrooms, athlete service areas, the Main Press Center (ASEAN Para Games 2025), and enhanced signage and communication systems to ensure convenient, safe, and equitable access for all.
SAT curated the Green Pavilion exhibition to showcase sustainable event management, efficient energy use, and inclusive design that enables participation from all groups. This initiative highlights the role of sport in advancing social equality and sustainable development.
The Green Pavilion provides a space for learning and inspiration, inviting the public, youth, athletes, and media to experience Thai sports through enjoyment, purpose, and social responsibility. The exhibition positions the ASEAN Para Games as more than a sporting event, serving as a platform for understanding, inclusivity, and enhanced quality of life.
The Green Pavilion exhibition is open to the public from 18–26 January 2026 at the Thao Suranari Monument (Ya Mo Plaza), Nakhon Ratchasima Province.
