13th ASEAN Para Games Officially Begins, 20-26 Jan 2026

The 13th ASEAN Para Games have officially begun, starting from January 20th to January 26th, 2026, in Nakhon Ratchasima province, Thailand. There are 493 gold medals from 19 sports: athletics, archery, badminton, 5-a-side football, boccia, chess, cycling, 7-a-side football, goalball, judo, weightlifting, swimming, table tennis, sitting volleyball, shooting, wheelchair basketball, wheelchair fencing, wheelchair tennis, and bowling. 

Athletes from 10 ASEAN nations are participating: Brunei, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Timor-Leste, Vietnam, and host country Thailand.

The Thai Paralympic team has been preparing for the 13th ASEAN Para Games for January 20-26, 2026. The Sports Authority of Thailand and the Thailand Paralympic Committee have initially set a target of winning at least 233 gold medals out of a total of 493 gold medals.

The gold medals have been categorized as follows: archery (5 gold medals), athletics-wheelchair racing (61 gold medals), badminton (7 gold medals), boccia (5 gold medals), 5-a-side football (for blind) (1 gold medal), 7-a-side football (for cerebral palsy) (1 gold medal), chess (3 gold medals), cycling (14 gold medals - 3 track events and 11 road events), goalball (2 gold medals), judo (2 gold medals), weightlifting (7 gold medals), shooting (9 gold medals), swimming (61 gold medals), bowling (13 gold medals), table tennis (21 gold medals), sitting volleyball (1 gold medal), wheelchair basketball (4 gold medals), wheelchair fencing (11 gold medals), and wheelchair tennis (5 gold medals).

Join us to cheer on and support the Thai National Paralympic Team for their aim to reclaim the gold medal title for the 7th time. The last time that Thailand won the gold medal title was in 2015 (8th ASEAN Para Games).
And, most importantly, we would like to invite all Thai people to be good hosts for this ASEAN Para Games.
