The Government has established the Flood Relief Operations Center to manage assistance for flood victims in the South. Minister Attached to the Prime Minister’s Office Paradorn Prissananantakul, in his capacity as Director of the Center, stated that Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul on 27 November 2025 invited representatives of the four ministries for discussion on integrated operations to assist flood-affected people.
The four ministries include the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Labor, and the Ministry of Digital Economy and Society. The Prime Minister emphasized full budget allocations to help flood victims. The emergency fund for provincial governors will be increased from an initial 50 million baht to 100 million baht.
In the immediate stage, flood victims must receive food, medicines, and necessary items. The second and third stages involve remedial support and rehabilitation process by the Ministry of Finance and various sectors. In these stages, various measures will be implemented for both the affected people and entrepreneurs, such as debt suspension, a reduction in interest rates, the extension of low-interest loans, and compensation payments.
These measures will create confidence among the people and entrepreneurs that they will have access to financial sources to enable them to repair their houses and operate their businesses, after floods ease. The Prime Minister told the Office of Insurance Commission to ensure that the insured or the owner of the vehicles would be able to claim their insurance for car damage.
The Government will also implement other measures for flood victims, such as the reduction of water and electricity bills, the exemption of income tax, and the extension of time for filing tax. As for those who offer donations for flood-affected people, they will receive tax-deduction benefits.
Meanwhile, Government Spokesperson Siripong Angkasakulkiat said that the Government extends deepest condolences to the families of those who have lost their lives. As of 27 November at 16.38 hr, the flood situation resulted in 85 confirmed deaths in Songkhla Province. Out of this number, 55 deaths were caused by flooding, while 30 were caused by other factors unrelated to the flood situation.
