His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua and Her Majesty Queen Suthida Bajrasudhabimalalakshana arrived in Beijing on 13 November 2025 at 16.03 hr (local time), starting a five-day State Visit to the People's Republic of China at the invitation of President Xi Jinping.
In Beijing, Mr. Chatchai Viriyavejakul, Thai Ambassador to the People's Republic of China, was granted royal permission to introduce Mr. Hong Lei, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director-General of the Protocol Department of China, who invited Their Majesties to disembark from the aircraft.
Mr. Wang Yi, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Member of the Political Bureau, and Director of the Office of the Central Commission for Foreign Affairs of the Communist Party of China, welcomed Their Majesties at the Beijing Capital International Airport.
A young Chinese boy presented a floral bouquet to His Majesty the King and a young Chinese girl to Her Majesty the Queen. Then Their Majesties proceeded past the welcoming party and the Chinese honor delegation, comprising Mr. Sun Weidong, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Zhang Jianwei, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Thailand, and his spouse.
The Thai honor delegation consisted of Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, as the Minister of Honor; Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Minister of Foreign Affairs, as the Minister of Honor; Air Chief Marshal Satitpong Sukvimol, His Majesty’s Principal Private Secretary; Mr. Thani Thongphakdi, His Majesty’s Deputy Principal Private Secretary; Lieutenant Colonel Somchai Kanchanamanee, Grand Chamberlain; Admiral Weerasak Aokkangwan, Royal Aide-de-Camp; and Air Chief Marshal Chettha Mueankaew, Royal Aide-de-Camp.
After proceeding past the honor guard, Their Majesties were presented with floral garlands by Mrs. Panida Khiewurai, spouse of the Ambassador to Beijing, and Ms. Nalintib Homvisetvongsa, Minister Counsellor (Commercial).
Afterward, Their Majesties the King and Queen travelled in a royal car from the airport to the residence hotel at China World Hotel, Beijing.
