Her Royal Highness Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya, Creative Director of SIRIVANNAVARI, has created Thailand’s official ceremonial uniforms for the 20th Asian Games under the concept “The Art of Unity.”
More than 900 Thai athletes and officials will wear the uniforms at the opening ceremony in Nagoya, Japan, with the Games running from September 19 to October 4, 2026. The ensemble features a three-pocket handwoven cotton jacket, an embroidered white shirt, matching trousers, and a necktie with SIRIVANNAVARI’s signature Diamond Knot.
The uniforms incorporate handwoven indigo-dyed cotton from the Sustainable Village Project in Sakon Nakhon province under Her Royal Highness’s royal guidance, along with handwoven cotton from the SUPPORT Foundation under the patronage of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother. The shirt embroidery draws on cultural connections between Thailand and Japan.
Combining Thai textiles and craftsmanship with contemporary tailoring, the uniforms balance ceremonial elegance with comfort and mobility for athletes. The collection is set to give Thailand’s delegation a unified identity while showcasing Thai craftsmanship on the Asian sporting stage.
