HRH Princess Sirivannavari Attends the Opening Ceremony of the Grand Egyptian Museum in Egypt

Her Royal Highness Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya attended the Opening Ceremony of the Grand Egyptian Museum in Cairo, the Arab Republic of Egypt, on 1 November 2025.

His Majesty King King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua had graciously designated Her Royal Highness as His Majesty's Representative to attend the opening ceremony at the invitation of Mr. Abdel Fattah El Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt.

The Grand Egyptian Museum will be an important site of outstanding cultural uniqueness, being the world's largest museum to present the history and civilization of ancient Egypt.

Her Royal Highness departed for Egypt from Suvarnabhumi Airport, Samut Prakan Province, on 1 November by Emirates flight number EK 385, scheduled to leave at 01.05 hr. Her Royal Highness will return by Emirates flight number EK 384, scheduled to arrive at Suvarnabhumi Airport on 4 November at 12.05 hr, according to the Bureau of the Royal Household.

Thailand and Egypt have enjoyed their cordial relations, which have flourished for over 70 years. Both countries have been moving to forge closer cooperation, especially in the areas of education and culture.
