The Ministry of Culture is moving forward with plans to promote the production of Thai films, dramas, and series within Thailand, in line with government policy to strengthen the national creative economy and enhance the competitiveness of Thai content on the global stage. The initiative is led by Minister of Culture Sabeeda Thaised, with implementation coordinated by Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Culture Prasop Riangngoen.
The Permanent Secretary emphasized that promoting Thai-produced content that retains Thai intellectual property not only generates income and employment in local communities but also serves as a powerful medium for expressing Thai identity, art, culture, and national image to global audiences constructively and creatively.
To move the initiative forward, the Ministry will hold a public consultation on Friday, November 14, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., both onsite at Gallery Rooms 2–3, G Floor, National Gallery Building, and online via Zoom. The consultation will invite directors, producers, film associations, and other relevant stakeholders to provide recommendations for the policy framework.
The Ministry encouraged industry professionals and interested parties to register to participate by November 10, 2025, as part of a collaborative effort to elevate the Thai film industry’s publicity and competitiveness on the global stage.
