Highlights from the Liaison Officer (LO) Training Program for 2026 IMF–World Bank Group Annual Meetings

The Fiscal Policy Office (FPO) organized a training program for Liaison Officers (LOs) from various agencies—including affiliated agencies under the Ministry of Finance, the Bank of Thailand, the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Office of the National Economic and Social Development Council, the Office of the Public Sector Development Commission, the Board of Investment of Thailand, the Stock Exchange of Thailand, and the Specialized Financial Institutions —in preparation for the 2026 IMF–World Bank Group Annual Meetings, at the Kamphan Thong Room, 21st Floor, 150th Anniversary Building, Ministry of Finance. On 24 June 2026, Mr. Nadhavudh Dhamasiri, Deputy Director-General, Fiscal Policy Office, Ministry of Finance, presided over the opening ceremony. On 25 June 2026, Miss Amonrat Jarurat, Assistant Permanent Secretary for Finance, presided over the opening ceremony.

The training was honored by guest speakers from the Department of Protocol, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, who shared their knowledge and hands-on experience regarding core aspects of diplomatic protocol for hosting high-level foreign dignitaries, international conference and event management, international etiquette, cross-cultural coordination, and communication skills for the international stage. Additionally, speakers from the Ministry of Finance provided an in-depth briefing on the details of the upcoming Annual Meetings to ensure the LOs are fully prepared. This marks another significant milestone in Thailand's preparation to host this world-class event this coming October. 🤝✨
