Thailand Announces New Regulations On Toxic Residue Control Raising the Safety Standards Of Thai Food

Good news for health-conscious consumers! 
Thailand has raised its food safety standards by issuing the “Ministry of Public Health Announcement (No. 460) B.E. 2568,” which enforces stricter and more modern controls on toxic residues in agricultural products.


📋 Four key points of the new regulation:

  • ✅ Full alignment with international standards, including Codex MRLs and ASEAN MRLs
  • ✅ Updated MRLs and EMRLs to reflect current situations
  • ✅ Default limits set for substances not approved for use in Thailand
  • ✅ Harmonized standards with the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives

This regulation has been in effect since July 22, 2025, ensuring safer food for Thai consumers that meets changing consumption patterns and global standards.
