'Sustainable Fashion' Advancing OTOP With Thai Fabrics and Eco-Friendly Handicrafts

This project empowers OTOP producers and entrepreneurs by enhancing the heritage of Thai textiles and handicrafts with a focus on natural materials, eco-friendly innovations, and contemporary design knowledge. It aims to develop products that meet both domestic and international market demands under the concept of "Sustainable Fashion."

Training covers natural fiber selection, plant-based dye extraction, toxin-free fabric dyeing, color matching on textiles, and cultivating creative ideas that emphasize sustainability throughout the production process. Experts from community development centers across four regions share their knowledge to expand learning opportunities for OTOP entrepreneurs nationwide.

The sustainable fashion approach seeks to minimize environmental impacts by valuing resource efficiency, choosing biodegradable raw materials, avoiding harmful chemicals, using energy wisely, and enforcing production methods that respect human rights. Designs focus on durability and recyclability for long-term use.

Entrepreneurs are encouraged to develop their expertise alongside environmental awareness, integrating local wisdom into innovative sustainable products. This strategy aims to generate income, create economic opportunities, and elevate OTOP products to global markets with a commitment to quality and responsibility.
