Ezy Airlines has officially begun its inaugural flight on Thailand’s shortest route, connecting Hat Yai and Betong, starting Friday, June 27, 2025. Using a 10-seat Cessna Grand Caravan aircraft, the airline cuts travel time between the major city of Hat Yai and the secondary city of Betong to just one hour—down from over four hours by road—offering a safer, faster alternative to the winding highway trip.
Flights initially operate on Fridays through Sundays, with fares starting at 3,100 baht (excluding VAT). Travelers can conveniently check schedules and book tickets online via the airline’s website or Line Official Account. The service aims to stimulate tourism and support sustainable economic growth in Thailand’s southern border provinces.
This route marks the revival of commercial flights at Betong Airport after a three-year hiatus since Nok Air ceased operations due to low demand and high costs. Ezy Airlines’ flights will provide a vital air connection using Hat Yai International Airport as the southern hub, with plans to expand to other southern cities like Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, and Narathiwat.
Ezy Airlines is currently certified by the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand and focused on regional connectivity, using small aircraft tailored for short-distance routes to boost local communities, tourism, and business in Southern Thailand.
