Caring for Travelers Thai Airports to Introduce New Smoking Zones with Advanced Ventilation

Suvarnabhumi Airport (AOT) is preparing to upgrade its indoor smoking areas, beginning with three spots in the international departures zones—specifically at Boarding Gates B and D. These new smoking rooms will feature state-of-the-art air filtration systems and double-door entrances to prevent smoke from affecting other passengers. Additionally, plans include creating open smoking areas inside the airport to ensure a more comfortable travel experience.

Renovations of smoking rooms in SAT-1 Terminal are also underway and expected to open soon. These upgrades align with international standards followed by leading airports worldwide. Outdoor smoking areas will also be equipped with comprehensive air purification systems to enhance the comfort and safety of all travelers.

This service enhancement reflects Thailand’s dedication to detailed care in warmly welcoming tourists and passengers alike.
