TAT Launched Amazing Thailand Grand Sale 2026 to Position Thai Brands as Tourism Magnets

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) launched the "Amazing Thailand Grand Sale 2026" campaign under the concept “Unforgettable Experience of Thai Brands.” Running from June to August 2026, the project aimed to transform shopping tourism into an experiential journey, projecting over 700 million baht in economic circulation. Mr. Nat Kruthasoot(นายณัฐ ครุด-ทะ-สูด), TAT Deputy Governor for Tourism Products and Business, stated that the campaign sought to boost visitor spending, building on 2025's statistics of 39.9 million international arrivals who generated 1.9 trillion baht in revenue with an average spending of 41,000 baht per person per trip. To connect retail with local culture, TAT established dedicated Shopping Routes across Chiang Mai, Udon Thani, Chon Buri, Songkhla, and Phuket.

The campaign incentivized global travelers through four distinct activities: the Go Shop Get Bag souvenir redemption for 2,000-baht purchases, the Once Shop One Prize lucky draw featuring 1 million baht in grand prizes like EV cars, the Shop On Top online spending contest with 200,000 baht in rewards, and the Top Seller program awarding Diamond, Gold, Silver, and Bronze tier accolades to outstanding merchants. Ms. Kanjana Chanakiatkajorn, Founder of BWILD ISAN, noted that modern travelers prioritize authentic storytelling and local heritage, making this campaign a vital platform for regional creators. Supported by key partners including commercial retailers, hotels, spas, and Bangkok Airways, the initiative successfully integrated the private sector to drive Thai creative brands into sustainable, high-value cultural exports.
