Thailand Expands Economic Cooperation with Russia and the Eurasian Region

Thailand is broadening its economic horizons following the recent ASEAN-Russia Summit, with cooperation set to expand across trade, investment, energy, technology, and food security.

Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul has directed relevant agencies to strengthen energy and food security cooperation, enhance regional connectivity, and advance negotiations toward a potential free trade agreement with the Eurasian Economic Union.

With cooperation expanding across multiple sectors, new opportunities are emerging to strengthen economic resilience and connect Thailand with broader regional markets.
