The largest traditional festival of Surat Thani, the Chak Phra, Kathin Ceremony, and Long-Boat Races 2025, is held annually during the End of Buddhist Lent (1st waning moon of the 11th lunar month). More than 100 decorated land and water Buddha boats come together, representing a symbolic act of making merit with a hundred temples in one day.
