"Ganesh Chaturthi Festival"
A celebration of the birth of Lord Ganesha
The festival will be held from 26 August to 6 September 2025
at Phimai National Museum, Nakhon Ratchasima Province

Highlights include:

Worship of authentic Ganesha images from three important ancient sites (12 days).
Ganesha-themed products and art toys from Plant Head Studio as well as works by students.


🔴 Tuesday, 26 August 2025
10:00 AM: Clay workshop — Create your own Ganesha figure with pottery techniques.
12:25 PM: Ritual worship and changing of Lord Ganesha’s attire.
(Location: Multipurpose Building, next to the parking area)
Special: The first 50 participants will receive Panchameva (five types of auspicious nuts) for good fortune.

🟠 Thursday, 28 August 2025
4:00 PM: Special Lecture — “Lord Ganesha: The Meaning in Sacred Images”
by Mr. Arunsak Kingmanee, Former Deputy Director-General of the Fine Arts Department,
author of Tracing Ganesha, Divine Tales from Stone Castles, Trimurti: The Supreme Hindu Gods, Divine Icons, Hindu Deities Protecting Buddhist Sites.

🟡 Saturday, 30 August 2025
9:00 AM: Museum Vlog Tour — Stories of Lord Ganesha through sculptures and lintels at Phimai National Museum.
10:00 AM: Workshop “Let’s Sculpt Ganesha Together.”
2:00 PM: Bharatanatyam dance performance in homage to Lord Ganesha, Mushika Vahana (at the Stone Carving Hall).
Followed by a talk: “Costume and Symbolism in Indian Classical Dance.”
Performed and discussed by artist May Porsuwasiri Charasangsap.

🟢 Sunday, 31 August 2025
Durva Ashtami (दूर्वा अष्टमी)
3:00 PM: Ritual offering of sacred grass (Durva).
3:30 PM: Masala Chai tea time & yoga practice.
