TCEB Begins Preparations for WorldPride 2030 Bid

The Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) launched preparations for Thailand to host WorldPride 2030, holding its first committee meeting with representatives from government agencies, private organizations, and LGBTQIAN+ network, to coordinate strategy and show Thailand’s readiness to pursue the global event.

TCEB President Dr. Supawan Teerarat said the Thai government fully supports the bid, with the Prime Minister of Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul appointing a dedicated committee to oversee preparations and policy coordination. She also noted that hosting WorldPride 2030 would strengthen Thailand’s international profile in diversity, equality, tourism, and cultural exchange, while reinforcing the country’s role as a welcoming global destination.

Meanwhile, Ann Chumaporn, President of Naruemit Pride, said the event could generate both social and economic benefits, enhancing Thailand’s image as a country that embraces gender diversity and equality. The organizers also announced the signing of a cooperation agreement with TCEP, King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang and Naruemit Pride to develop a “Pride Digital Platform” linked to the bidding process. Preparations for the campaign will continue through collaboration across all sectors under the theme “PEACE PEOPLE PRIDE.”
