The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) is providing free microchipping, registration, and rabies vaccinations for dogs and cats on the first weekend of each month in 2026 to support pet owners and improve animal management.
Although regulations requiring pet registration and microchipping have been postponed until next year, pet owners are encouraged to use the free services now. Microchipping makes it easier to locate lost pets and helps control stray animal populations. BMA also provides mobile services through the Traffy Fondue platform, allowing residents to book essential veterinary. Residents can
simply add the @TraffyFondue account on LINE, select the “BMA Dog and Cat Registration” menu, and provide basic details about their pets.
While bookings are currently live, the BMA’s proactive mobile veterinary units are scheduled to hit the streets starting April 21, 2026, to provide on-site assistance across the city’s various neighborhoods. Additional service points are available at Central Rama 3 and ten BMA veterinary clinics, with outreach teams serving communities. Moreover, services are also available at ICONSIAM, Level B1, from 10:00
a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on the first Saturday and Sunday of each month in 2026.
