Royal Flora Bestowed by H.R.H. Princess Sirivannavari Featured at “Royal Project 57” in Bangkok

Royal floral displays bestowed by Her Royal Highness Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya are featured at the “Royal Project 57” fair, held from 1 to 12 August 2026 at the CentralWorld Shopping Center in Bangkok.

Since 2022, Her Royal Highness graciously bestowed 18 species and 44 varieties of plants upon the Royal Project Foundation for research study, conservation, and propagation, in order to generate employment and improve the quality of life for people living in the highlands.

The plants have been cultivated experimentally at seven Royal Project sites and are now displayed at the Sirivannavari Botanical Garden in the Royal Agricultural Station Angkhang, Chiang Mai Province, which serves as a conservation and learning center to disseminate knowledge on biodiversity.
The Royal Project Foundation has developed tomato varieties as its signature identity and selected premium lavender varieties for essential oil production. A golden yellow dragon fruit variety with a sweet flavor, fragrant aroma, and soft edible seeds has also been developed, and it was bestowed with the royal name “Princess Sirivannavari Dragon Fruit.”

Other plants continually developed by the foundation include, for example, matcha and rose teas, fava and runner beans, butternut pumpkin, green peas, wasabi, vanilla, and artichoke.

Organized jointly by the Royal Project Foundation, Kasetsart University, and Central Pattana Public Company, the Royal Project 57 fair is meant to honor His Majesty the King, Honorary President of the Royal Project Foundation, and Her Majesty Queen Suthida, in celebration of Her Majesty's fourth-cycle, or 48th birthday, on 3 June 2026. It is held under the theme “The Blooming Legacy of Royal Flora.”

Their Majesties the King and Queen on 1 August presided over the opening of this event, which brings fresh vegetables, fruits, herbs and premium agricultural products from the Royal Project to the CentralWorld Shopping Center.
