PRD leads VOV media crew to visit the Thailand-Vietnam Friendship Association, promoting the 50th anniversary of bilateral relationship.

On March 26, 2026, at Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Foreign Affairs Division of the Public Relations Department (PRD) led a delegation of media crew from the Voice of Vietnam (VOV) to pay a courtesy visit to Mr. Suwatchai Songwanich (สุวัชชัย ทรงวานิช), General Secretary of the Thailand-Vietnam Friendship Association.

During this meeting, the VOV media crew conducted a special interview with Mr. Suwatchai Songwanich (สุวัชชัย ทรงวานิช), focusing on the role, activities, and proactive operations of the Thailand-Vietnam Friendship Association. The meeting aims to promote mutual understanding and deepen the cooperation between the people of both countries in various aspects, including economic, social, as well as arts and culture. The key topics discussed also covered the guidelines and preparations for organizing the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Thailand and Vietnam, which serves as a significant milestone in the history of both countries.

The activities planned for this year will cover (1) holding a Business Forum to promote trade and investment, (2) holding friendly football matches,(3) organizing the Royal Kathin Ceremony (การจัดกฐินพระราชทาน) which will be presented to various temples in Vietnam, (4) distributing eyeglasses to the elderly in Vietnam, and (5) promoting language and cultural exchange between both countries.
