The IMF-World Bank Group Annual Meetings are held every October, usually in Washington, D.C., for two consecutive years, then hosted by a member country on a rotating three-year basis. In 2026, Thailand has the honor of hosting from 12 to 18 October at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC) in Bangkok, the second time the country has been chosen, reflecting its capacity and readiness to organize an event of this scale.

The meetings are a major global forum on economic and financial issues, bringing together finance ministers, central bank governors, government and private-sector leaders, academics, media, and influential figures from around the world.
