Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Commerce, Mrs. Suphajee stated that “Exports are not prohibited, but prior authorization is required”

“Exports are not prohibited, but prior authorization is required to help balance domestic palm oil supply."

We have not banned exports; what we are requesting is that if you wish to export, you must seek permission. Why? Because the government is committed to supporting the use of biodiesel. Palm fruit used for CPO (Crude Palm Oil) is essential. If we encourage its use as a diesel blend without monitoring volumes, a shortage could occur. This is why we need to track stock levels... It is not a prohibition, but a requirement for authorization.

Mrs. Suphajee Suthumpun
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Commerce
