📍 October 19, 2026, at 2:00 PM — At the Integrated Committee Meeting to establish guidelines for the Loy Krathong Festival B.E. 2569 (2026), the Ministry of Culture, through the Department of Cultural Promotion, joined forces with 33 partner agencies. The meeting aimed to unify framework guidelines for Loy Krathong 2026, promoting correct understanding among youth, citizens, and tourists while encouraging creative, safe, and environmentally conscious participation.

✨ The Department of Cultural Promotion, Ministry of Culture, highlights the theme “Thai-Style Loy Krathong: Preserving Values, Inspiring the Next Generation,” aiming to sustain Thai heritage, encourage intergenerational participation, and stimulate creative economic and tourism growth—all while prioritizing environmental sustainability.

✨ Preparations are underway to host Loy Krathong 2026 across Bangkok as well as key identity-rich and scenic tourist destinations nationwide.

✨ Furthermore, Thailand is actively pushing forward to nominate “Loy Krathong Tradition in Thailand” for inscription on UNESCO’s Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, while educating the younger generation and sharing Thai cultural identity with the world stage.

Key attendees included Mr. Prasop Raingern, Permanent Secretary for Culture; Mr. Paramee Photharakul, Advisor to the Minister of Culture; Mrs. Chotika Akkarakitsobhakul, Director-General of the Department of Cultural Promotion; Mr. Jessada Cheewawichawalkul, Director-General of the Department of Religious Affairs; Ms. Saratsanun Unnanuntapan, Secretary to the Minister of Culture; along with executives of the Ministry of Culture and representatives from 33 partner agencies at the Ministry of Culture Conference Center, 8th Floor, Watthanatham Wisit Building.
