Applications should be submitted to local officials in the district or sub-district where the forest is located. This process is outlined in the 1985 Ministerial Regulation No. 1,106, issued under the 1964 National Reserved Forest Act, and implemented according to the Forestry Department's 1986 Regulations on the Permission to Utilize Wood within National Forest Reserves, and the Forestry Department's Letter dated January 29, 2014, on the operational guidelines for utilizing wood in national forest reserves.
